how many?
Hi im from NSW in australia and my ringneck has already had 1 lot of babies (even thought only 1 survived) i was wondering how many clutches a yr they may have in AUS?

Well i did go to get the baby's out and i thought there was 2 only to dicover there was 1 and a dead 1 in the nest
do ringnecks usually choose 1 over the other? im now hoping she will look afer the only survivor? any info on this would be great!

Hey all Im ready to take out my baby ringnecks for handrearing this weekend and im guessing that females are very protective of there young as when i check in the nest she doesn't move... i haven't yet opened the lid of the nest box but only peering into the hole, do you think there maybe a chance ...

I finally got the courage to check the nest box only to discover 4 eggs inside!!
now all i have to hope for it that they are fertile and at least 1 will hatch

thanks for the reply i do only have the one pair of ringnecks and another week has gone by and i haven't be able to catch her out of the nest to check if there are any eggs and if i did check im afraid i will disturb her if she does have eggs and she wont go back to sitting on them so i guess i just...

My ringneck had just started going into a nestbox filled with woodshavings and what she done was she threw out all of those shavings and chose another box so i filled the empty one with the shaving only for her to do the same thing and chose the box with new shavings and has now settled into one and...

Hey all a am new Im from NSW australia currently i only own 1 pair of indian ringnecks a green and a yellow which i hope to breed this year. looking forward to any info i can find on the board as i haven't had my birds all that long.
