Re: Why hasn't my IRN started talking?
I have 2 beautiful ringnecks - one blue female and a lutino male. Both of them are a year and a half old and they both talk. But the male talks yer ear off while the female says only a few phrases. Gabby Renee, the female, says 'what you doing' and 'where's your piggy'. Her favorite toy is a stuffed...

Re: My IRN has just turned aggressive, please help?
My 2 ringnecks are nearly 4 months old. They've been DNA tested, so I know that Gabby Renee is a girl and Chauncey is a boy. Both of them were hand-reared by me since age 3 weeks, and I cuddled them, rocked them, fed them, snuggled them, and so on - the tenderest care they could ever have received. ...

Re: Need help please - with crying baby
Thank you Ellie. He's such a good little baby, it's tough to see him so scared. I cuddle him a lot in a birdseye cloth. I sit in my office chair and rock him to sleep. He's eating well, but cries so much. However, this afternoon, he seems to be a little quieter. Hopefully, it will last...

Need help please - with crying baby
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I have 2 IRN babies who are now 6 weeks old. One is DNA'd as a female. She's a turquoise. The other is an unsexed lutino. I've had the female since she was 3 weeks old and the lutino since 'he' was 4 weeks old. Physically, they're both doing great. But the lut...

Re: 1st time IRN owner- need help plz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One thing I have learnt is that it just takes a lot of time and patience with these birds - they are very clever and he just needs to get know you both better probably - he'll get there eventually :) It may take a good few weeks before he settles in completely but stick with him :) Agreed. In my ex...

I couldn't be happier! They're a joy to have around. I'm looking forward to watching them grow up.ellieelectrons wrote:Hi and welcome!
Sounds like you have your hands full with two babies. I think that's nice that they will be raised together - helps them know they are birds.
Ellie.

Re: Hi to all! New IRN in my life.
Just thought I'd update my info. I found out that Gabby is a girl. The breeder had DNA tests done on the chicks. So, she's Gabriella! And, she had come into the dealer's shop with a gorgeous lutino - same age. Every time I went to the shop, I played with the lutino baby. He had won my heart. So, the...

Hi to all! New IRN in my life.
Hello everyone, I've been reading the posts for a while and decided to introduce myself after I got my baby IRN. I got him yesterday! The reason I'm here is because I'd love to learn as much as possible about caring for my little Gabby (Gabriel or Gabriela, depending on gender). I try to get my bird...

Re: Baby IRN question..
Hi, This is my first post on this forum, however, I have many years experience with birds. So, I believe I can give you an answer to this question. Yes, I trust that your bird is mimicking the sun conure. Baby birds learn their vocalizations while in the nest. The earliest sounds they make are just ...
