Is there any reason not to feed my bird a pecan in hte shell. He really enjoys rolling it around and working on it.
Thanks

IRN / Dog interaction
Hello everyone, I have another question or maybe I am inquiring. Erin lures my dog to his cage. Then when my dog is nose to nose with him, Erin attacks. Now this action is kind of cute. The noises are chirps, whistles and scratchy sounding mumbles. My dog seems to love this too. The problem is that ...

Tomoato, Holy #*?&
I am so appauled, I have just now found out that tomatos are toxic. Where have I been? Is this true? Tomatos...My Erin loves them...they are her/his favorite, that is second to peppers. Now, I am doubting myself so much that I am wondering if the peppers are bad including the seeds. I have lost all ...

These stories crack me up...I kind of feel that is my Erin...s/he wanders around the cage in an excited manner when I open the door, then falls off whatever s/he is hanging or perched on to...bounces off of the floor or the asparagus fern I placed in the bottom to cushion his/her fall, climbs up the...

Guys I really don't know how to explain this, I have tried both of you suggestions and the problem is still here. I have never seen a bird that does this. For instance I can go to his cage and at first he seems agitated or scared, flapping his wings...maybe even aggressive, then he will either take ...

Questions, Questions, Questions!!!
I have many questions since I saved Erin/Aaron... 1. Do any of you find it worth getting a DNA sexing? 2. My baby hates sitting on my finger for any amount of time...his/her wings are trimmed and can't maintain flight so he just hits the ground hard...he loves his perch, cage, my shoulder and the pe...

Erin keeps trying to fly away
Erin seems to have adjusted well. She is constantly eating and drinking. She is even interacting with my cat, who loves to play pickaboo with my mothers parrots and my last bird. My problem with her is that she will be sitting calmly on my hand, shoulder, knee then just tries to take off. Her wings ...

Oh, Ryan and I knew what we were getting into with the noise level..maybe I knew more than he...just nervous with the new baby is all. And rabbits weren't an option, I have already tried that. Anywho, let me give you all an update. Erin after being uncovered this morning went for the food and water....

Thank you for being there...I have been so anxious to hear something I have been checking this page all day. And I am getting a bit scared. I have read chat areas on this site that say these birds are mean...OH, MY!!! I thought they were to be even tempered...Maybe I am just a little nervous. I do h...

My new Ringneck
Well it appears that my "Nasty green bird" I purchased from Petco this morning is a sweet and scared 4 mth old baby. Thank you to everyone who told me to get this little bird. OK, now that I have her what should I do with her. She has a wonderful cage, I am going to be transitioning her to Harrison'...

Wanting to Save an IRN
Hello, I am needing some advice... I have been wanting an IRN but unable to get one until my bird passed on to birdy heaven. He did this sooner than I had expected... So I have not researched them as thoroughly had I been in the market for one. Anyway the reason I am bringing this up is that there i...
