Help, i need to know if my bird is sick.

Hello guys, my new ringneck (5 days) has been standing still (moving occasionally to eat) with his feathers fluffed up like this for about 2 days, he only straightens them whenever I get inside his cage to replace his food and water. I just wanted to know if this is a sign of a sick bird and if that's the case should I bring him to an avian vet? I don't want to traumatize him, he's already terrified of human hands in general, I am trying my best to not scare him and I can see I'm winning his trust slowly. I already love him and would do anything to make his life better.
One last thing, the owner of the bird shop told me he is 7 months old but I think that's a lie because I can already see his "ring" and he's already developing a pink-ish ring also. Could you confirm or deny my intuition? Have a good day
