Female ring neck behaviour

Hi ive got 2 ring necks one male and one female I've owned them for about 2 months and they have settled in to my home really well I have a very large cage they use, but I let them out everyday witch they love with perches to use ' they have been together I understand for sometime I've introduced a nesting box into the cage with good nesting material my female is doing her thing scratching in the bottom and throwing out what she don't want I find now that she is spending a lot more time in the box and the male is also popping in and out, could it be she is looking lay a clutch of eggs , any help would be very helpfull
