my IRN try to feed me

what does this mean? he do it like once a day or every two day, he is male around 9 years old.
he trust only me and my younger brother, I am with him a lot of times but he very very rarely see my brother and this is why I am wondering, why he is very friendly with my brother even though he doesn't do anything for him, it was friendly with him from day one, but with my wife who give him food and talk with him, he is really aggressive with her and afraid almost from everyone else. if she wants to feed him he become friendly to the moment he took the food and his eye become white (you know what I mean) it is like "got my food now stay away from me".
I never put him in cage, though this is a info you guys want to know about. how normal is his behavior? thanks.
