My IRN is making a noise when i touch it

whenever i touch him, and he cannot escape he will make a "grrrr" sound, is it because he doesnt want me to touch him, what shall i do?! i feel really bad, but then i read if you dont hold him he will become wild like. What should i do

He's trying to tell you in a nice way he doesn't want to be touched or petted.
Why do people think think they have to hold their bird and pet it. They are not like dogs or cats most birds just like to hang out and play with toys and ride around on your shoulder for fun, they don't like to held down and petted. If you want a happy bird let him do his own thing otherwise that grrr is going to be a bite.

but they look sooo cuddly!!!
but really Donna is right. Ziggy growls and squeaks when he doesn't want another hand near him. Sometimes I then just use a finger to gently pat his head otherwise I leave him alone.
...mind you, he also does it when he can't get his own way or get to a toy he loves (my phone!!! which he is NOT allowed to play with)
