Molting blows for everyone!

Because Baby makes 'tiel noises and doesnt squawk, I noticed since he started molting really bad he is NOISY! AHHHH!!!

I hope this is just a molting thing? Does your bird make more moise during a molt?

I reckon Im noticing it so much because otherwise he is quiet. Not the case these days and I didnt know how lucky I was!

Just wondering if this is because of his molt?

Im giving him steam baths everyday and amazed by how fast the progress is now going!!! Exciting I always knew this lil turd was a boy! lol

How do you give steam baths? Does it accelerate the process of moulting? I havn't tried it.

I don't know about noise. But Jibby gets a bit cranky when moulting. He's the same all year with the amount of noise he makes. Yoda on the other hand is a very noisy birdy. But I think its just the excitement of everything being new. Jibs just 'Been there, done that, seen it all, no big deal.' All he does lately is follow Yoda around making 'Huh.. huh.. huh' sounds like hes cooing. hehe.

Poor little Baby, it'll be all over soon.

I haven't really noticed noise level change in relation to moulting, but I have definately noticed it coincides with breeding season and so does the male feistiness, Jordan is full on cheeky, feisty, playful, presenting, dancing, attacking, loving, cuddly all in five minutes and alot more vocal.

Pickle not so much so, I do know he is definately a boy from behaviour displays, but I guess he doesn't present like Jordan and kai because he is not sexually mature.
