What did you feed them?
Worms or bugs or hand feeding formula?

i fed them lambs heart (i know gross),pal puppy food, parsly ,boiled egg, wheat gern i think it was and some protein baby food that i got from the super market, as they got older i would go on search for bugs and cabage moths to teach them to get food for them selves.
for the last 2 weeks they have been learning to sing , but they do it all dayy. its so cute. haha.

It apparently was what they needed they survived.

Funny that they are free but come back to eat.

You may have buddies for years. Do Magpies learn to imitate human
speech?

That would be funny to see them land in one of your trees and call you by name.

aww cute

when i was a kid under the same kinda circumstances we found a baby crow we suspect had fallen outta the nest, my dog chased after it, dad chasing the dog, lol till we saw this little bundle of black feathers. took him home, called him roderick and kept him with us (livin in the house, free flying as he chose) feed him till he was strong enough to fly off, come back a week later for a visit as if to tell us he was ok, then he was gone. Had him tethered in the front yard at one point so he could talk to his family outside, we almost got to the point where we could see who was talkin to who lol and started tellin voices apart haha

Ive always wanted a crow or magpie. But Gilbert is scared of big black birdies. :( Do they step up? Ive heard magpies and crows can be tamed.

I have pine trees in my back yard where hundreds of crows congregate. None of my pet birds pay any attention to the ruckus (and some of the neighbors have told me they can never hear my brood over the crows, so I count my blessings). My poor birds--don't have enough sense to be afraid of the cats or the crows

Lady,

Nice magpies. Feel free to take the thousands away from here. By the way, you missed out on the albino - he's gone to another home. We babysat him last night, he's a very friendly and cuddly ringneck.

maggies can learn to talk.

my mate had one as a pet growing up, much the same as you have, he found it young fed it ect, it would come inside and sleep with the cats.
but was never clipped and was always free to leave, just never did

Those are neat birds. I remember trying to save a baby who fell out of a nest when I was a kid.
