temperature of outside aviary

Post by ron »

can anybody inform me what is the minimum temperature of an outside aviary for irn`s.i am in the uk and outside temps are dropping to -5c. i have timer on a heater and constantly keep temp to about at least 10c.when i say its outside aviary it is in a brick hut/shed with window and door which are now not left open during day.aviary is split into two 6ft high by 5ft by 5ft with mesh down middle.porthole in middle of mesh can be closed when fighting starts.have two greys unknown sex although one has dark tail, and two yellow, one is certain female as she has laid eggs(27) before her mate had accident.both greys and yellow (lutino) were bought 3 months ago so sex is not known.have been outside now over 3 months therefore should be climatized ?.
please give me advice before it gets too cold

I wouldn't expose them to anything below freezing.
10C will be fine.
