What do you think of the name.......

Okay, my soon to be African Grey just turned 3 months old yesterday and I still don't know the sex. The breeder hasn't done the DNA test on it yet because his son got sick and he had to move all his birds to his friends house, because he didn't want to take the chance of any of the birds catching something, plus he figured the less feather dust in the house the better for his son getting well sooner, so I am guessing the kid has some kind of respitory problem. Anyway, I was thinking of the name Dixie for a girl and Blaze for a boy, but then yesterday someone here at work was talking about their grandchild whose name is Riley. I think that name is cute too and then that name could go either way for a boy or a girl. What do you all think of the name Riley for an African Grey???? Or should I wait to find out the sex and stick with my original names???
Any other name suggestions that could go either way? Here's another picture of my little angel.

Lisa,
I think Riley is a great name. I know a few Riley's actually. But you're right it could go either way for either sex. So... Bet you are about to bust waiting for your baby to come home.

Yes Jen the waiting is KILLING me!!!! It also doesn't help either that the breeder is very busy and doesn't respond to 90% of the emails I send him. Hopefully within the next month he/she will be weaned. The breeder said it normally takes 3 to 6 months for them to wean with 4 months being the average. But if this little bugger decides to wait 6 months to wean and I have to wait another 3 months, I think I will die!!!!!

I don't want to put a damper on things, but this breeder doesn't sound right to me. Doesn't respond to your emails, and is worried the birds could catch a human illness (not possible).
I would REALLY be sure your baby is 100% healthy before bringing it home, and get a guarantee on that. Could be just a hobby breeder who knows less than he/she should, but still, would worry me.
Baby is beautiful though

. Oh, and Riley is a surname in my family, on my Mom's side... so for me it means both men and women

I think the name Riley is awesome. What a beauty ~! your baby is growing up to be.
Dixie and Blaze were cute token type of names .. but Riely has character ! real character! I like it! but then its up to you. I can picture the baby grey saying it too.
