I have a grey hen mated to an olive split to cinnamon cock bird.
They have produce 4 babies. the pin feathers are just beginning to open and looks like there are: One grey, one olive, one very pale olive and one blue.
What colours should this pairing produce? And have I described the correct names for the colours I have at present.

Re: Colour breeding Indian Ringnecks
Olive is the correct name when used for df (double factor) Dark on Wildtype Green.
It is often mistakenly used for GreyGreen which is very similar in phenotype to true Olive.
GreyGreen/Cinnamon x Grey
Grey,
GreyGreen
Cinnamon GreyGreen (hen)
and Blue
So, you almost got all the possible combinatins in the one nest!

Hi,
I am not very good at genetics but from what you have said, i think the cock is also split blue which explains the grey and the blue and the light color one is a female cinnamon i think??
thanks
