Question about new bird...
I am thinking about getting a blue lacewing... It's sibling was a grey lacewing, what color were their parents? And can't you tell with lacewing if it's a boy ir a girl because of the visual...??? Or am i way off on that?
Re: Question about new bird...
Depending on what mutations the parents were, they could be of either sex- example:
1. Pallid cock x Pallid hen = 100% Pallid offspring (both sexes)
2. Pallid cock x normal hen = 100% Pallid hens and 100% cocks split to Pallid
3. Split for Pallid cock x normal or Pallid hen = 25% Pallid hens, 25% normal hens, 25% normal cocks & 25% cocks split to Pallid.
So, you see without the parent information it is impossible to tell what gender the bird/s are.
