Hi all. well I have a Indian Ring Neck (Male Grey) called Freddie which I purchased from a store (I know I shouldn't have but I traveled 135 miles to get him as he was the only one I liked and that was available in the North West).

anyway I got him home and put him into his nice big 5ft cage with toys and so on to play with when I noticed one of his claws on his Right side has completely come off (not while I have had him) it looks to have from over and by the look of it I don't think he will be getting it back. I was wondering if this will bother him in any way although he seems happy enough?

Thanks in Advance.

Daniel & Freddie.

Hi,

No, unfortunately it will not grow back.
It is not uncommon for ringnecks to bite fellow cage mates or neighbour's claw/nail off or it can get caught in the wire or some other accidents. The good news is; it will not be a health risk for him and he will live happily for years , Have lots of fun with Freddie!
