Hi there,
I recently put my name down for a green blue split ringneck, but I'm unsure what exactly a green blue split looks like. Google is failing to help me today.
Can anyone post some photo examples of this mutation please?
Thanks!

Hi Melilott,
Visually, a green split blue is just a normal green looking bird, but genetically it carries a blue gene. This information is useful for breeding purposes, but if you are only after a pet, then all you will be getting is a green bird. I hope that clears things up.

Hi there,
Thanks for the reply! Green is my absolute favourite colour so that makes it even better!
I've seen pics of green ringnecks with the green fading into blue on their tails and faded blue on the wings. What's this mutation called out of curiosity? It came up when I typed green blue split into google so I sort of assumed that's what it was. I have seen entirely green ringnecks before too so I thought one with blue on the tail & wing tips must be a mutation.
Sorry if these sound like silly questions.

Hi Mel
The bird you described sounds like a turquoise or sometimes called ( pastel blue )
Enjoy your new bird

Hi, Thanks! I'll be sure to post pics of my baby when he arrives.
Can't post the pic I found of the supposedly "green blue split" but that's ok, I know I'll love my baby no matter how he looks!

Is this the bird you are referring to
If so it is a turquoise violet.
