My 8 month old Albino Indian Ringneck 'Pirate' has started to pretend to shoot me with lazers every time I walk past him!.... He says 'PEW...PEW...PEW PEW PEW....PPPPPEW!' He doesn't sound human and he doesn't sound like a bird. He sounds like a laser gun from Star Wars or something and is very realistic. No idea where he got it from either. He also meows like a cat, usually 3 in a row at different pitches from the highest pitch to the lowest pitch... The thing is I don't have a cat!

Sounds like someone is breaking into your home and playing your video games and they bring their cat with them.

Awww that's adorable! I'm so excited for when Rani actually starts clearly talking. Right now he mumbles as he's going to sleep... kind of like he's sleep talking. I have heard him mumble pretty pretty and pretty boy in there but not very clearly. I'll bet you're thrilled Pirate tells you he loves you! So sweet

I wondered if other people's ringnecks talked themselves to sleep! Mine does it aswell. He buries his head in his feathers and chatters away...sometimes for a long time. It's nice to know that's a cute little trait they have

Yeah, Rani does! My friend today heard him doing his little noises and she said to me "Wow... he sounds like he's shooting a lazer" thought you'd appreciate that hahaha!
