We have had our IRN (Gizzi) about 18 months and believe he was around 6 or 7 months old when we got him. He had his first molt when he was around 12 months old which lasted no longer than a week. He is now going through his second molt and this has been going on for nearly four weeks!! He is really struggling, scruffy and very grumpy too. We have seen on some posts , a mention of an 'adult molt' is this a molt that lasts longer than normal? He does appear to be getting very dark under his beak and the black ring is starting to appear around his neck with a few pinky/red ones.
We welcome any comments or advise and just want an assurance that there is not a problem. We would hate to be ignoring anything more sinister.

Yes it can take over a month. They can look quite messy for a while thats for sure.
