Hi there a Violet albino will look white as the violet gene will be masked.

Here is the results.

1.0 blue pallid
x 0.1 blue violet(sf) ino
% from all 1.0
50.0% 1.0 blue pallidIno
50.0% 1.0 blue violet(sf) pallidIno
% from all 0.1
50.0% 0.1 blue pallid
50.0% 0.1 blue violet(sf) pallid

Pallid = lacewing.
So yes you can get violet pallid but only hens, you will get violet pallidino's.

Not the best pairing, try and get a blue male not split, (its near impossible and people that have them charge a lot more money then normal).

Thanks Glenn

Hi glenn, Thanks .. the reason i am asking this that i recently purchased a 2011 male .. according to the seller he is violet pallid .. but when i asked for the parents pairing he told me blue pallid cock X violet albino hen .. so i came up with the conclusion .. he is violet pallidino .. Now since i have already purchased the bird .. what would be the best female for the violet pallidIno male ??? Can i pair him up with a SF violet blue female ?? and what would be the outcome ??

With the pairing you mention it is possible that the albino is a normal albino or an albino violet.since it is impossible to differentiate ..... You will have to test mate the albino in about 2013 to prove it's colour trait. Unless I am cluless here I would venture that you have been had , or erroneously misled. Such is the joy of genetics and it's lessons.

Molossus, he is a Visual Violet PallidIno as you can see the washed out violet color in his body like a normal violet pallid but little lighter .. I am posting his picture down below .. this is the picture that seller has posted ..

Ye you can pair him to a SF Violet blue.

1.0 blue violet(sf) pallidIno
x 0.1 blue violet(sf)
% from all 1.0
12.5% 1.0 blue /ino
12.5% 1.0 blue violet(df) /ino
25.0% 1.0 blue violet(sf) /ino
12.5% 1.0 blue /pallid
12.5% 1.0 blue violet(df) /pallid
25.0% 1.0 blue violet(sf) /pallid
% from all 0.1
12.5% 0.1 blue ino
12.5% 0.1 blue violet(df) ino
25.0% 0.1 blue violet(sf) ino
12.5% 0.1 blue pallid
12.5% 0.1 blue violet(df) pallid
25.0% 0.1 blue violet(sf) pallid

But i would spend the extra money and get a DF Violet blue.

1.0 blue violet(sf) pallidIno
x 0.1 blue violet(df)
% from all 1.0
25.0% 1.0 blue violet(df) /ino
25.0% 1.0 blue violet(sf) /ino
25.0% 1.0 blue violet(df) /pallid
25.0% 1.0 blue violet(sf) /pallid
% from all 0.1
25.0% 0.1 blue violet(df) ino
25.0% 0.1 blue violet(sf) ino
25.0% 0.1 blue violet(df) pallid
25.0% 0.1 blue violet(sf) pallid

You will still have a masking issue with the hens.

Thanks Glenn

Sorry about that. Glen is right about the pairings and outcomes.
