I've had my indian ringneck for about a month and a half and i got him when he was 2 (still is). At first he was very shy, but if you wait till he calmed down he would get on your finger. In the cage he is alright, but when he is outside of the cage he get's scared and tries to get away from me (his wings are clipped) by flapping his wings like he's falling. I've heard that you should take them out of their cage daily, but also heard you should only have positive interactions with them so i don't take him out anymore. I have been trying to train him to come to me and now he comes to a specific perch when i sit next to the cage and comes towards me but still is kind of shy. Also, (just a side question) what kind of nuts can they eat i have heard a lot about how they eat nuts but, not which kind.

Apex,

My IRN's love peanuts that's still in their shell but I'm not sure which other nuts are safe.

As for the training part perhaps some of our more experienced owners could give you some advice.
