Cages and Play Areas

Post by petulantscholar »

Hello:

I'm in a search for a new cage for my IRN, Zola.

I'm a poor graduate student looking to spoil my parrot with a new cage. I'm on a budget and am looking for a cage with a play area on top. I noticed a lot of threads/links for AUS but I'm located in USA (Ohio, actually).

I've checked the local Craigslist ads and whatnot, but I'm really not satisfied with what I've been finding. Can anyone link up or help out? I'm really not looking to spend more than $500 (and that's I'd really love to spend half that if I could!)

This seller is someone I tagged for future purposes off eBay. http://stores.ebay.com/everila

This was where I got the cage I have now but they raised prices and selection is down, but I'll post them anyway because at the time the price was super awesome: http://stores.ebay.com/Demsond-Pet-Depot

Personally I prefer dometops, more room inside the cage (also I'm not tall enough to retrieve my bird from a playtop! ). I don't think my bird really cares that he doesn't have a 'playtop' since he plays up there just fine! The bigger the better, and eBay is a pretty good place to start looking. :)

Oh, and you can also attend local bird shows. The assembled cages go really cheap- especially on the last day!

I've been called 'birdbrained' before, but somehow I don't think this is what they meant. say:hah-nay
