Neck Movement In Alexandrine Parrot
Hi, What does the neck movement in Alexandrine Parrot mean. He dilates his eye pupils, and almost swings / snakes his neck with little mumble type sounds. What does this mean?
Re: Neck Movement In Alexandrine Parrot
the pupils movement , can show interest ,curiosity , warning ( careful , i could bite ...) , .... you'll learn by watching your bird .
Re: Neck Movement In Alexandrine Parrot
Right Jean - while the pupils would indicate any of these - what about the accompanying body movement - is it to do with attention wanting.jean19 wrote:the pupils movement , can show interest ,curiosity , warning ( careful , i could bite ...) , .... you'll learn by watching your bird .

My boy Mika does this to me when he wants my attention,as soon as i look at him he stops and then if i shift my head so he thinks im not watching he does it again. He sometimes hangs from the top of the cage and does it too.
