MIX YOUR OWN DRY FOODS
You can create a custom dry food mix that will cost less than ready mixes. You can buy ingredients that are fresher than most ready mixes from store shelves. Organically grown ingredients can be used when available, and the mix can be tailored to your IRN's preferences. You can vary the ingredients each time you make a new mixture.

Dry food recipe ALL VERY HEALTHY!
beauty is fleeting, but wisdom never fades it grows stronger each day
Re: Dry food recipe ALL VERY HEALTHY!
Hello there,
Coconut shreds - Coconut adds flavor to a variety of foods such as pies, cookies, soups and shrimp dishes, and it supplies key vitamins and minerals. Shredded coconut also contains 33 grams of fat and 40 grams of sugar per 1-cup serving, which significantly decreases the nutritional value of the food. While you'll reap some nutritional benefits when you eat shredded coconut, it shouldn't be part of your regular diet.
Thanks

Re: Dry food recipe ALL VERY HEALTHY!
Coconut oil is a better option, sunflower seeds are fatty, and my bird prefers Fresh seeds foraged from fresh fruit. Millet needs to be rationed too, the healthiest nuts to offer are walnuts, in fact, my bird won't eat any other, and will not eat dried banana,
It is actually cheaper here in the UK to feed fresh fruit and vegetables, I don't think poppy seeds are a very good idea either.
