breeding for blue male

hi i got a pir of ringnecks today blue cock and green hen. (i have a post in the new members section introducing us) now when i breed them i would ike to keep a blue male for myself. is there anyway i can tell which is a male if they lay eggs and hatch them( i will be handrearinf them)

Hi
Using the gencalc, the pair you have will only produce green babies. That is unless the female is split to blue. In which case, the only way to tell the sex of the babies is to have them DNA sexed.

Hi
You won't know if she is split blue until you get blue babies. There is no other way to tell as far as I know.
