I truely feel it is the time, love ect, that you put into any pet that gives you the rewards.... :P

yeah thats what i think too....
but lots of people say if your a girl get a boy bird, ect...

I think females tend to be more agressive... but of course each bird is an individual and there will be exceptions to every rule.

Our female is more agressive... and extremely passionate about things... whatever she does she does it wholeheartedly... including biting fingers... but it also makes her more loving overall. She loves pattings and being with us.

Our male bites less but is more passive. He likes being with us but is just as happy with birdie company or the company of his toys. He hardly bites at all. He doesn't like pattings.

These are my observations... but each bird is an individual.
