Finally pulled out the babies today.
The youngest is exactly two weeks old today.

They are soooooo cute!!!

I want babies again.....

i still think my baby budgies are cuttier then them

Budgies would be so tiny compared to ringie bubs.

their subborn lil things though, having trouble getting them to eat enough so their crop is full

What hand raise mix are you using?
Is the temp warm enough, or not too hot?
I found mine took a couple of days to get used to the taste of the new formula and prefered it warmer than some other birds, but not too hot obviously.

You could try mixing a tiny amount of pureed fruit or veg or baby food in a jar into it, see if that entices them to eat. I added a small amount of mash pumpkin or carrot, not too much though as you don't want to take away the amout of baby food they are eating or make the taste too strong for them.

If you don't think they are getting enough food, try adding an extra feed so they are not missing out on their tucker.

Are you weighing them every morning before their first feed to see if they are gaining and not loosing weight?
I weigh mine every morning, gives a good indication if they are eating enough or if any problems arise due to stress sickness etc.

Looks to me like they are eating well and their crops look fine.
As a rough guide, chicks should eat aprox 10-12% of their body weight of formula.
If a chick weighs 70gms, then aprox 7-8ml of formula.

I use Vetafarm as well. I found down the track chicks do tend to get a bit bored with the same taste, that is when I start to introduce different flavours in their formula.

Just going through my record sheets, the chicks I raised had between 4-8gms gain per day for the first week or so after pulling from nest. The older they got the more weight they gained until it was time to loose weight for fledging.

Weight will also differ slightly depending on if the chick has been to the toilet before or after the daily weigh in.

i think im just being paranoid because these are my first young babies.
i have found that they dont want to eat all there food in one go so i feed them half and then go to the next one, ect and come back to the first one till their full

feeding went really well just then
it only took 30min (usaully takes an hour)

That is how I feed my bubs. They tend to eat more that way.
I use vetafarms spoon with the syringe attachment especially for the first few weeks of feeding, I can see how much each bub is getting.

lol 30 min is good, more time for snuggles lol
The first few days are the hardest while to bub and you get used to each other.

Aww that's so cute! I know I won't get tired of looking at pics of the bubs! What colors do you think they are? It's truly amazing how fast they grow. They'll be all grown up pretty soon...
