Do breeding/parent IRNs need a special diet?
I recently got my first breeding pair of IRNs. They have been working in the box, and breeding I believe because she has a spot on her neck missing feathers from his beak. My question is, do I need to feed them a special diet while they are breeding? When they have eggs/chicks? I currently feed them commercial seed free choice (that includes raw peanuts and dried bananas and dried peppers), and I give them a different fruit or veggie every day (mustard greens, lettuce, cucumbers, strawberries, apples, pineapples, just to name a few). I also every now again give them chicken breast, boiled, or smoked turkey breast or boiled eggs for protein along with wild forage such as dandelions. I just did not know if they need more/less protein while breeding and raising young.

I forgot to mention I also give them yogurt & yogurt bits for calcium.
