3 Simple Taming Excersies

Post by Rueae »

Like the title implys, I'm about to show you three very easy taming methods in which you will be:
  • Touching the Beak.
  • Opening the Wings.
  • Laying on Back.
  • (There's also some taming involving getting two birds used to each other, but that's not what I'm trying to illistrate in this post.)
I believe that another has articulated the procedure better than I would, so I refer to him:

And here are some examples (my own):

I have forgone any speaking in my videos because it's already been said and I didn't think it was needed.
Also, there are some adaptations in these taming methods for Ink and I.
In the first video, I allow Ink to explore my fingers and I explore her beak. She is very gentle and I see no problem with this.
In the second, I have tamed her to allow me to place her down on other surfaces, instead of remaining in my hand. This is because I'm planning on teaching her to "play dead" and so I want her to get used to it.

All that said, Ink and I have been doing these things since I got her and it may take awhile for your bird to get comfortable. Just keep trying. :D

I think that's everything.
I hope that helps you and Sukha, PythonzEve! <3

A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song.
