I killed it :(
I killed a baby cockatiel tonight , i was crop feeding and then it just went.
I feel so lost, he was so gorguz and friendly.
I feel like i never want to handfeed a bird again

Thanks Bec,
the breeder told me everyone looses some but it doesnt make you feel any better about it.
Someone told me its easier to handraise cockatiels that ringnecks but there so wrong!
Ringnecks just sit there and the tiels move around

Always heartbreaking when one doesn't make it for whatever reason.

Re: I killed it :(
so sorry that you had to go through this. Having grown up on farms we were taught from a young age that things happen especially with baby animals. It doesnt make it any easier though. I havent personally lost any like that .
When you say crop feeding is that with a tube? or something or is it just what you call hand feeding? just curious to know. It is totally different with ringnecks and alex's, they are totally focussed on food and getting food.
