Colour mutations and possible baby outcomes?

Post by Una »

:D Okay .. this has never really been a concern of mine before they started getting all clucky, but now they are broody i figure it would be nice to know what colour mutations they are and also what would the possible outcomes be if they breed..
First is Buzz.. he was VERY interested in keeping me away from Poppy.. very protective all the sudden, and rather keen to attack the camera :roll:

and umm its not a matter of IF they breed.. but more a matter of if they get it right.. lol .. I took these this morning (just trying to get good pics of their colours) and this happened.. so sweet, i hope its alright to share?..

I would say the female is a Pallid-ino.

Check out what it says about Pallid-inos on
http://home.wanadoo.nl/psittaculaworld/ ... rameri.htm

It's more towards the bottom of the page. I think it describes Poppy very well.

I think Buzz is a normal Blue.

Hi;
There are not females pallid-inos. Female can only be pallids or inos since both are different mutations of the same gen, which locus is in the sex cromosome (single for females).

Apparently the male is blue and the female seems to be a pallid. You will get green males split pallid and blue and green females split blue.
