The way our birds color comes out in pics sometimes is amazing, the first one looks purple!
PLEASE REMEMBER THAN WHEN HANDFEEDING YOU MUST INSERT THE SYRINGE INTO AND ONLY! THE LEFT SIDE OF THE MOUTH. OTHERWISE YOU COULD DROWN THE BIRD OR GIVE IT AN INFECTION. THE FORMULA TEMP MUST BE BETWEEN 105 AND 110, NO ROOM FOR ERROR HERE. UNDER THAT TEMP WILL CAUSE INFECTION, OVER THAT TEMP IS WELL, JUST TOO DAMN HOT.
Baby Bella is BEAUTIFUL! I love the pics!!! And I love the purple color on your wall!!! Purple is my favorite color! Keep the pics. coming. She's so sweet!
Wow it sure is weird what a camera does to a birds coloring huh? One pic looks purple...another blue and yet another turquois...odd. Bella sure is pretty anyway. Looks like a happy and healthy bird
haha yeah that was my first feeding atempt! i read some articles and with a bit of patice i have it down packed now thou! thanks for your comments on my baby, right now she is sitting on her qym happliy playing away

It should always be from the left side of the bird. They have no epiglottis to cover their trachea, so shooting formula from the right side could cause some to fall into the lungs. Even if it's only a little, that can begin harbouring infection which can lead to death in a little chick.
With the needles (gavage feeding or tube feeding) the concern is accidentally putting it down the trachea instead of the esophogus.
I've been called 'birdbrained' before, but somehow I don't think this is what they meant. say:hah-nay
