well it has been about 6 weeks now since jake died. He was a grey green indian ringneck and was so well bonded to me. I get sad alot of days thinking about him. It wouldnt be so sad if he lived for a long time but his life was cut short. He was 3 months old and figured out how to get out of his cage and he was caught by a dog :[ my dog. I now have another one and it is the exact same age that jake was when he got out of his cage. I am worried this one will do the same. I have clips on all the doors and dont think he can but i am still nervous. I hate it when they are so helpless cause they cant fly yet and they get taken away. But everything happens for a reason
fly on jake!
oliver my other one is great to. The breeder i got jake from said i was one of the best indian ringneck care takers so he gave me oliver free.
i am only a highschooler and love animals in general so here is to jake for a great 3 months

Poor little Jake. Fly on!
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Jake was so young. It must of been devastating for you.
Accidents happen and we can only learn from them.

Fly free little Jake ! truly is a hard thing losing a fid, but as Lauren says, we all learn from life, lessons are more often not ones we like.

I'm sorry for your loss. Try not to beat yourself (or your dog) up over it, accidents happen. Would love to hear more about your new baby.
