There's a picture of his old cage, Liberta Raleigh in Parrots magazine, the cleaning article was a bit like teaching granny how to suck eggs, but he/she forgot to mention how dirty perches can cause eye infections when they wipe their beaks on them after eating.
Tipped down all day here, too, shopping was not a good experience, but that's it for another week. Lidl had (brussel) flower sprouts, and Sanjay likes them. He has discovered he still has a roof to play on, and chucked a cat ball, it landed on the TV cabinet, he flew across, picked it up and flew back to the roof with it in his beak. That's a first!.
I took your advice and e mailed a scrap dealer, he replied, promising to help. So, thanks for the idea.
Wilko had a good stock of seed bars, annoys me they get special Christmas stuff in for cats and dogs, but not for birds or small pets. I have ordered a new wavy mineral perch, Sanjay had one on the inside of his door, and would hop on to it for tickles, it was so worn and tatty I threw it away, he'd had it years, I found a replacement on Amazon, we got the old one from the pet superstore in Henlow. It's iodine and calcium, and he often had a nibble.
Oh, goodness, I Do hope Billie isn't going to start laying again after last years problems, you'd think the suture would have put her off!
