iv been raising three irn babies and 2 of them learned how to open their cage and fly for the first time at the same time
i was mixing formula for them when one came running out of its cage and when he hit the end of the table he kept right on going and flew right to me
but ever since then all he cares about is getting out and roaming the house
he even flew back into the cage crash landed and cut his cere:( so i took him to a breeder
at the birdfarm and asked her if he was ok she said yes hes fine
it was a huge relief because on top of his cut i was worried he had lost 2much weight lately but she said no hes fine hes a normal size for his age and state of weaning
hes become an active little punk he spends more time wrestling with the door of his cage than eatting
crazy irns

I dont know if its because they are so smart and watchful as to how things 'work' or if its because they are great chewers but with IRNs we have to be sooooo careful.
They are too big to be such great escape artists but I cant tell you the times I have gotten out of the shower and Baby is standing in the bathroom floor looking for me.
I look aaaall over her cage and I know there is NO WAY out so it makes me wonder if I put her back lol. They make us second guess ourselves.
I'll throw the shower curtain back and there s/he is... looking up blinking like AH! I wanted in MA!
