Ben, Very interesting comment, as I have already used your system on my red birds and across all 3 mutations the red shows up as and ice blue color. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-a6qOiSu5Kmg/UHPV81HvvwI/AAAAAAAAALE/MPN24UzaGZM/s800/pic%25202.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Uad0H35FE7k/UI...

Ben I use filter's on my iphone to tell the difference when it comes to some of the more complex color combinations like Violet Mauve Turq and even certain cobalt birds from violet and Deep's.
Then off to the UV to make sure

Most young normal green birds are ever so slightly florescent, nothing compared to the birds we have been talking about. I have taken young blue series birds as well as violet and if I test for florescence in a complacently dark room you cant even see the bird. Violet Turq Opaline https://lh5.google...

Please can you give me the colors in order of the first two pictures?
Thanks,

Re: Red Grizzled Green IRN Chicks
So one year later and what have we learnt ?
So far I have identified to the following mutations that have produced Red IRN's
1) AMD Pied
2) Clear Tail
3) Ino
4) Pallid
Anyone know of any other mutations that large quantities of red have occurred ?
Regards,
Peter

Hey Madas,
They only get calcium just before breading season and during, so i am pretty sure it has nothing to do with feeding.
On a completely different subject, how did that possible dominant pied of yours turn out?

Peter

Hi Recio, I have 4 birds bred out of 3 different pairs that have this effect. My birds are fed on seed, soft fruit or vegetables and supplement's daily so defiantly not a deficiency. They are intresting under the UV as well, picture in inside of the wing under UV. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-...

Re: Red or Black Ringneck
The ADM Pied - red that I have hatched is a visual dominant male, with large amounts of red under the wings, socks, and on the chest and in the tail.
The objective is to get as much red out in the offspring as possible.
Thought?

Hi All,
I have a few questions:
1) How would i enter the Adm Pied - with red, bird into the Genetic Calculator ?
2) Other than the obvious what other combinations would be suggested to bring the red out even more ?
thanks,
Peter
