Re: Novice handrearing can be successful and very rewarding
I loved your story. I have a dilema, and I don't know what to do. I have been handrearing some ringnecks and cockatiels. I have one little female, that has lock jaw. It started out just like was described about Entree. She was treated for pneumonia, I tried to tell the vet about her jaw, but they di...

Anybody else?
My little Lutino, Suki, is just a sweetheart, or was. I raised her from 4 weeks on. Adore her. She can be very ornery and a bit spiteful. One day she made a lunge for one or my earrings. She grabbed it and pulled. Hard. Instinctively, I swatted at her. Now, she wants nothing to do with me. She won't...

Re: What tree for IRN?
I know they use grapevine and Madrona for perches, but I am not familiar with trees from there.

Re: IR DNA Test
I have been using DNA Services out of Arizona and really like them. They do eggshell, feather or blood for $20.00 for the first ten and then go lower. They are really quick.

Re: newbie here
Contratulations on your babies. I have one, Lutino female IRN, 1 mated cockatiel pair and their three babies, I am currently handfeeding. Suki is now 5 months old, love her to death. I live near Seattle, WA. Not very many IRN people up here, so it's great to find this website for me.

Re: Hi there
How old is he? My female went through a nippy stage at about 2 1/2 months, hope that is the extent of it. I know you aren't suppose to "be mean" back, but I did rap her on the beak with my finger and tell her no, a couple times. Just out of reflex, before I read that. She did stop trying t...

Re: Have a question...?!
Suki likes to ride on my shoulder in the car, or on the perch atop of her carrier. So far she seems to enjoy it.

Greetings!
I've been a member for quite awhile, but just got my baby a few months ago. Suki was born the 25th of April, she's a Lutino and the light of my life. I saw one in a pet store and fell in love. I raise cockatiels some, but when I held a IRN, I was captured. I knew I wanted a Lutino, but a male. Searc...
