I have a Blue Rainbow Turquiose "male". He is 10 months at the moment. I would like to know if Rainbow males can form a ring?

Re: bitting habbit
Parrots and parakeets are usually quite territorial about their cage. So instead, why not try to ask them to come out, and if they do then you give them a treat and praise them. If they refuse to come out, try holding a treat just outside the cage and then ask them to come out, then praise them. Tha...

IRN and Goffin Cockatoo
Hi there Ok so, I have a mature female IRN and a mature male budgie in my cage. They are best of friends. I am rescuing a Goffin Cockatoo and I would like to know if I can house them together. My cage is just under a metre long and wide, and over a metre in height. Please keep in mind that IRN's hav...

Re: Mental Genetic Disorder?
Yes it may be an idea to ask my fiance to take over. And yes he is with her everyday, and even though he tries so hard to be friends with her, she is terrified of him. So I am thinking of taking that idea to let him give her a treat everytime he comes into the house, and as many times as is possible...

Re: Mental Genetic Disorder?
Thank you so much for your reply! I have never actually heard of foraging as a method before, but I will definitely check it out and put it to practice. I think the closest I've come to it without knowing are with those seed bells or sticks. And yes I do use food rewards with her. She usually throws...

Mental Genetic Disorder?
Hi there I've had my female IRN for almost nine years now. I got her when she was under a month, couldn't even move around on her own back then, and I raised her myself. We have a very close bond, but with me being a female, I think she may be a bit confused. I've always thought of her as a very mis...

Breeder in South Africa, Cape Town
Hi there I currently live in Cape Town and am looking for various IRN breeder's in the Western Cape. Finding a breeder with the colour mutations of violet or cobalt would be perfect, but i really am basically just looking for a recommendable breeder no matter the colours. Does anyone know of any goo...

Thank you so much for your reply. And yes I think you may be right about going for violet. It is more uncommon after all

Blue hen x Lutino/Albino cock
Hi there I currently have a blue hen, although I do not know whether she is split or not. Both her parents were blue. I am now looking for a partner to pair with her, and was curious between the albino and lutino colourations. By going for either of those colourations, should i expect to have a majo...

Scared of baby starving
Hello I bought a four month old IRN yesterday, and had to remove him from his mother and father to do so. He was the only baby they had this year, and they seemed very over-protected over him. He was surrounded by many other birds, and is parent-raised. Anyway, he hasn't eaten or drank water since i...

Adding a Baby Ringneck as a partner?
Hi everyone, I have a female IRN of 8 years, and I have been considering the possibility of getting her a partner, or a friend I should say really. She lives in the cage with a male budgie of 7 years, and they are friends. I have read that with getting a partner, I should avoid getting a female as t...
