Interesting, most of mine will sit definitely by the 2nd egg. Thanks for clarifying though.

Re: Pics of age (progressive)?
Absolutely perfect! Thank you sooo much. From that I have worked out our baby is actually younger than we thought at roughly 28-30 days. Although a fair bit lighter than that persons and a lot more advanced, she is already eating on her own (between 4 HRM feeds).

Re: egg
How far apart have they been laid?
Is this their first time?
She should be sitting straight away.

Re: sleep laying down ?
I have had a few birds over the years that have laid down to go to sleep. Some laying across the perch and some finding a spot in a hammock, on top of the cage and a couple that even snuggle in underneath the cover on their cage. All different breeds. With it only being 12weeks it will still be in &...

Pics of age (progressive)?
Hi everyone, Just wondering if any one out there would be able to post up some pics for me of an IRN progressing in age from 0-1week 2, 3, 4, etc or days i.e. 6, 12, 20, 30, 40 days. I have a new baby that we don't know the age of, only a rough estimate. Cheers, Craig. *Reason I'm asking this rather...

Re: Question about flooring on Gracie's play gym
I know this is an older post, but for the base of your play gym I would suggest taking it out of action for a day and using a safe glue (I think pva is ok) brush on a thin layer then sprinkle some sand over the glue and let dry. Personally I just use some old news paper on ours as then it is easily ...

Re: Should he be weened by now?
AAhhhh, with that I can now understand your frustration! Nothing worse than a bity bird, hurting or not. In an earlier reply someone mentioned mashing some Banana etc try things like that (sweet potato) as a substitute to the Hand Rearing Mix. Only use the HRM as a top up after the fruit & veg (...

Re: Should he be weened by now?
He sounds very cheeky, that should make for a very playful personality! Have you tried feeding him some veg with your fingers? Holding a small amount between your index finger and thumb and move into the mouth as you would with the end of the spoon. What is his response? If he starts taking it from ...

Re: Should he be weened by now?
I hope you are having some good progress with your lil' one now? We just got our new lil' one, we think she is about 4 weeks old (body and tail pins are opened and head pins just starting to open). Anyway, we got the chic a few days ago from our breeder and he said he had the chic down to 3 feeds a ...
