my understanding is that not all birds will talk whether they are male or female. one of the reasons I got a bird. they seem to be more intelligent than a cat or dog. if they talk, it a bonus. another reason is, I just like birds

Found a male Alexandrine he is seven weeks old. I can pick him up in three weeks. hand raised in a family environment and around other animals (dogs & cats) plus young children. these children and the adults also feed and handle the birds. had a look-see everything really good.
