The sides of Paladin's beak near his cheeks mostly are growing slightly inwards, like a fold, is that normal? It's near where the skin attaches both bottom and top together?

No we didn't, but she doesn't seem to be concentrating on it as much anymore. I'm going to put it down to boredom, as we only had a temp cage for her. We brought a bigger one recently and shes eating regularly again so I guess I won't worry about it, unless she starts it up again.

The articles weren't clear on whether you can actually use a powder coatd cage or not. It just mentions them with no definitive answer.
