I made a 17*12*12 breeder box out of pine and I used aspen as a substrate... Is that ok? What dimensions are correct for the regular and L shaped boxes... And is the Aspen substrate fine to use?

I am thinking about getting a blue lacewing... It's sibling was a grey lacewing, what color were their parents? And can't you tell with lacewing if it's a boy ir a girl because of the visual...??? Or am i way off on that?

Also, when i put 2violets in the generator it says the babies would be green violet... Does that mean the color green with the violet tail? Or do i need to enter it as a blue violet...??? Sorry, it is all just so very interesting to me!

Thanks for the replies. Was thinking about getting a breeding pair and had never seen a blue pallid and a lutino pit "together" before. Genetics are still pretty confusing to me. Thanks again:)

The back of her neck is a light blue but she developed a greyish ring from under her neck half way around the side.
