Pet and breeder
Is it true that a pet bird cannot be bred? I heard from some breeders that tame, handfed birds won't be able to breed and raise young.

Pet and breeder?
Is it true that a pet bird cannot be a breeder also? Would a handfed bird that has been raised by humans know how to breed if placed with another bird of the opposite sex? I just remember hearing from a breeder that birds used for breeder should be wild in nature. Please advise. Thanks.

He does not fly much. He would rather perch on my hand or on the cage. I'm mainly concerned about his sensing of direciton while in the air. He seems as blind as a bat. I recently got a 3-year old alexandrine parakeet. He seems to be in good health and is fully feathered. His wings are not clipped. However, he can't really fly.
