Hi, I would say, it could be something called imprinting but thats not so likely considering her age when she came to you. However, if she was a hand reared bird and recognized a human to be her mom, it could be the case with you. Although again its not common because she was 3 months old when you ...

Is it possible to bring him through the US? Perhaps you know someone there who could keep him for awhile. Maybe someone on this forum can help you with that.

I would never leave him behind. He has spent 5 years with you. Thats practically family. He would miss you terribly.

Wow what you're doing is really cool. A heart for handicapped birds. I guess if they get along fine now, it should be alright. However, you know personalities can change and then they might not get along too well, so there's a possible risk there. I think it also depends on the size of your cage. If...

Its sad to hear about your lovebird. Have you considered perhaps burying him in the forest (if there is one not too far away)? We buried our little friend there last month. Yeah it is and you're lucky to have a good pet store. You know there is one in the same city I live in. Hi all! Do any of you guys make your own toys and color them? Sometimes we make our own toys but for coloring we're always stuck to Easter Egg coloring. Ayy her condition sounds sad. Its good that you moved all the food nearer, that would limit activity and energy can be conserved for recovery. Keep her warm too. Do you have a red light that you could switch off and on to keep the bird warm? Warm is essential when they're in the well. Move her to a smaller cage, so as to restrict movement. If you cant bring the food and water near her. Dont put any multivitamins in the water, it would serve to pollute it an...

Answer to all 3 questions is yes. When you dont want him to land on your head, you should probably just return him to his perch, when he does and then turn away without saying anything. In other words ignore and discourage the behavior. This will take time but they get the hang of it. About landing...
