Re: Lutino Cinnamon/blue
Hi Mike, thanks, unfortunetly I know nothing of the mothers parentage, bought her at a bird park as a tiny pink chick 8 years or so ago. She is green with blue central tail feathers, that's all I know, and from the previous clucth there were only 2 chicks, the cinnamon and a green and from this clut...

Re: Lutino Cinnamon/blue
Hi Mike, thanks for the reply, very interesting thanks for the info, so this Ino might very well be Lutinocinnamon and that's why the lighter/other coloured flight feathers-but will have to wait and see if it darkens up to biscuit/brownish as she ages? And there is no possibility that the light flig...

Re: Lutino Cinnamon/blue
Hi guys, here is a photo of the chick, no flash, natural light, going through the book and looking at those light flight feathers, could this be a creamino?-that dad is blue and known to carry cinnamon and lutino- and would the green mother then need to be split to something for this chick to be crea...

Lutino Cinnamon/blue
Hi guys, hi Deb. If you guys read the previous post you would have seen that Deb mentioned that my Lutino hen might be Lutino Cinnamon/blue and not just Lutino/blue. I would like to know what the visual difference would be between the 2. The hen has left the nest this week and I can now see that her...

Re: blue cock green hen surprises all round
Hi Deb, thanks for the reply, yes in my first posts I recall mentioning that I thought the the blue cock had 1 Lutino parent and you did a whole outlay for me if that was true, and this confirms it. Just very bummed that I don't have more babise in a year, I suppose it could be the hen's age! I shou...

Hi all, haven't been active in some time, dog shows taking up way too much time. Just thought I'd share and give an update on my hand raised breeding pair. Re: first breeding of 8 year old hand reared green hen
I think you have to be a member for a certain no. of days(10?) and 10 or 15 posts or something like that. Some thing you could do is post the link but wherever there is a "." write in dot. I can then type in the link myself and perhaps post the photos for you? that would be awesome-really...

Re: first breeding of 8 year old hand reared green hen
if that is the case regarding the cock bird you do have a possibility that any male green baby may have a 50/50 chance to be split albino. The only way to find out is by test mating them when they are ready. If your blue cock bird is split lutino a yellow baby should pop out over the next few seaso...

Re: first breeding of 8 year old hand reared green hen
Hi Shaun You may get a blue baby a couple seasons down the line as it takes up to 18 babies to get an idea of more or less what slpits are in each bird. Do you know what colour parents from each of your birds are? As to pairing I would go with any blue series bird. Violet or cobalt if you are able ...
