Thanks :) Nice to know about these things. Does anyone know about the clays they lick in the wild to detox? I was thinking of getting some for him, just in case, he should know when to use it on his own so I don't have to worry about him getting to stuff when I'm not looking that's all.

Re: my cockatiels

can anyone guess what is Ring's gender?? It's hard to tell from these pictures, at this stage you usually go by their behaviour. But judging by a few vague features and poses, I would guess it's a girl. But as I say, I can't be that accurate and the best thing to do if you want to know is a DNA tes...

Household items as toys.

Just a few things that are always lying around my house that I'm worried may contain toxins, he probably won't eat them but it's just the trace amounts I'm worried about, and I plan to let him have some as toys if they're ok. Corks from wine bottles, would these be ok for him to play with if rinsed ...

Thanks :) I'll do what you said and try training him indoors first then. I'll make sure he has a good view of the outside through a window too so it won't be too different, but I definitely won't take him outside unless I know I can get him back with ease. ^^

Look! A question =D

Yes, my question is, is it safe to let IRN's outside without fear of them flying away and never returning. If so, how do I know when he's ready? :P

Thanks, I think I've found somewhere in lincoln that sells them, that's only a 30 minute drive away. But he said he doesn't have any at the moment and i should check back in 2 weeks :( he's not even sure if that's what they are until he gets them though, but I'm putting my hopes on that for now.

Greetings from the UK

Hi, I'm Sam, and I'm looking into getting an IRN, but I can't seem to find any pet stores nearby which sell them. I live in Balderton, Newark, Nottinghamshire, UK. Does anyone here know where I can find one? As far as preferences go, I would like a green male, pretty young probably about 2-4 months ...
