no, i am still looking for a good avian vet in my area for a wing clip, it's really hard to find one here in india and stepping up is very hard to teach i presume, because if i even get my finger close to his feet, he backs up or bites, and i don't want to scare him we use an old perch for teaching...

that would be cool thank you marine .... bluey seems to be coming on more and more each day .... he now prunes himself everyday ... when he comes out he comes closer and closer to us and is doing so well with the step up ... he only steps up onto stick at the moment but what an achievement we are so...

sounds like they did a great job of checking everything .... we took bluey to the vets for his wings clipping but my partner took him cos i would have been upset if bluey was getting upset .... iam a softie like that :oops: but they didnt clip his wings properly ... he can still fly ... so we are no...

yes i found the below link on ebay and this is what we are looking to get ... and we will also use on for our window as bluey loves to land on part of the frame that goes across the middle as likes to see whats going on rather than sitting on the window ledge and he doesnt look comfy ... i have adde...

oh just to say we have now taken the toilet roll off the play gym as we was getting information saying they were not safe but we did look on internet at first and it said it was ok ... but best to be safe and we took it off

thank you we saw the idea when googling play gyms for parrots and we got the clothes airer from argos ... bluey is still a little weary of it but hopefully will soon feel comfy and start destroying things lol at the min with all his toys in his cage we have also made him some little parcels with toi...

hi all we dont mind if bluey is male or female ... just as long as we know we are doing everything possible to keep bluey as happy as he/she deserves

morning all could someone please help we are getting mixed information about bluey ... please can someone tell us if bluey is a boy or girl ... we have been told that bluey is a mature female ... but when we bought bluey we was told that bluey was a male and from last years chick and would be fine a...

hahaha bless bluey is still settling in at minute so hes not had the pleasure of tasting the luxurous gloss doors or wallpaper yet lol ... we have only had him a few days but he is gettin better hes coming closer n closer now bless

sorry i meant to ask do you give them fruit and veg every day? ive got 3 bowl in blueys cage 1 for water ... 1 for parrot mix food which has got seeds n nuts n dried fruit and the other 1 we use for his fruit n veg..... is this correct ?

thank you i will go make him some carrots now because weve got some but wasnt sure what to do with them and didnt want to give bluey the wrong thing .... but yesterday was funny when we took his dish in it was like he could smell the food coming ... his head was held high as if he was smellin the ai...

you are welcome and his character is certainly coming out more today ... he is alot more vocal and hes got this little dance .... he walk up to the edge of his perch and then to the middle and back again ... but the funny thingis when he gets to the end of his perch he has to put 1 foot on the side ...

hi ... sorry i know it was a while ago when u posted this but i was wondering how long u had ur IRN in his new cage before you let him out for his fly around? we was told to leave ours in the cage a couple of days for him to get used to his cage n surroundings... is this right or should we let him o...

hi sorry we carnt offer much advise as we only got a blue IRN ourselves yesterday. I was having a look round the site and read ur post ...... poor little guy ... but it sounds like hes truly in a better place now and hope he/she has settled in nicely
