it varies from bird to bird ive had some that i can touch straight away and yet others that wont let me touch them at all some irns just never get the patting thing ...... they can be very tame but just dont like hands touching them for only having indy a couple of weeks sounds like your doing very ...

when i got our second irn i slowly introduced them
with kieron in a seperate cage this worked well for a while till one day i got up to put them to bed & they were both in rikus cage this worked for them
not all birds do like sharing their cage though

and its not just the ringies either mutley the lori has plenty of phrases he understands like when he asks "wheres mutleys strawberry" NEVER EVER say the are no strawberries he throws a temper tantrum at that but if you say its not payday he will usually be fine with that.....................

it is possible to tame a bird that has been in an avairy all her life but you might never get a bird that likes being patted
take things slow with her let her set the pace

you said indys a girl females are very territorial of their cages try letting her come out of her cage f by herself then getting her to step up then if you can take her to a smaller room where she cant see her cage for her taming work ( bathrooms work well) and use a food thats not always available ...
