wait a while, sometimes they nap like that. Harley does it alot and so do m other fids. I know how u feel, been there too they keep one eye open to "keep an eye on things"

I have no clue about the sex, but what a beautiful bird! I have never seen one with a red patch on his head, know what thats from or is that a mystery patch?

2 things are possible, and it os probably a mixture of both, one, most IRN's go through a stage called bluffing, look it up on this forum, there is tons of info on it. and 2, he'/she has pnly been there 4 days! He'she is probably still scared and still adjusting. Time and patients is all i can tell ...

Harley's got some pics today! He has grown SOOO much since he first came home, has ALL his feathers, gave his wings a clip, and being as playful as ever. Think hes gonna be a lil boy or a girl? OH! i think its soo funny bc it looks like he's related to a lion, his neck feathers are always ruffled up...

Thats really odd, my harley had a red beak since he was about 2 wks old. and he still does at a month old.

Harley is one month old TODAY actually.

Harley bows his head when i pet him, he's only a baby. Does that still consiter "male" behavior or just "baby" behavior?

Well so far we've been lucky, only 8 1/2 wks old, but so far so good. I;m really hoping he doesnt, i am going through sexual maturity stage with my quaker, who bites out of the blue every once in a while, so i'm crossing my fingers with harley!

Poor Lil Harley, I clipped his wings today. Right after that he wouldnt come any where near me and he wouldnt even respond to my voice. I feel so bad now, i know he's mad at me. But it had to be done. Hope he doesnt hold grudges for long!

I have one of each, harley is still a baby and doesnt mke too much noise yet, but i met his parents at the breeders house, and MY GOD! you'd a thought the fire deparment had once used them for sirens! But every bird is diffrent. My quaker is actually pretty quite, except in the morning when he wants...

Thats cute, my two budgies and harley are buddies as well. I wouldnt think that that would hurt him. That is a sign of affection, and a sign that they have accepted eachother into the flock. Some times birds will do that to people (um..yum?) its a sign of affectrion. How sweet.

What about none of the above? Harley is 7 wks old

no i havent raised them personally, those are the pics that the breeder sent me, she sends me weekly pics of my baby. shes the one that has been hand raising them from birth. Harley doesnt come home for another 4/5 weeks.
