Re: Need Help Taming older parrots
I also have a Male & Female in the same cage, no problem behaviour now apart from eating everything in sight when they are out, it has took a few years for them to trust me, the female is more trust worthy and is the youngest. I would say they are 90% tame as they will go on my hands and take fo...

Re: In the Wild
Yes I'm in the UK, there has long been a Flock in the Southern end of the Country, I have also heard on the Radio that they have spread North as far as Sheffield, (get your Maps out). I remember seeing them in Barcelona on La Ramblas.

What is the Natural colour of an IRN or isnt there one, I know different colours come via crossing Birds, So guess this comes natural. So did different colours arise from different parts of their Homelands, North South East West. Then over time came together and mutated to give the colours.

Ha Ha I can relate to this post, I have double the trouble, George & Mildred don't like having their wings clipped either. George bites his nails (forever got his foot in his beak) but not mildred. When I have had her in the Towel when its opened she stands there and looks at me as if to say ---...

Re: the fun off bath time
My two also tried to bathe in the water bowl, I have a spray but they don't seem to happy with that method, so I got a large Ice Cream carton cut it down and now they stand in water upto their bellies and splash. This is the best way because I can then remove it and all the damp paper.

As I live in the UK this might be a bit of a long shot. When I clean the cage out I throw the waste and left over food on the steps for the local wild life. This is one visitor I cannot put a type too. We are thinking Yellow Finch or Yellow Hammer but never seen one so Yellow, any ideas. http://i13....

we have a cat that does not bother the IRNs, I would never leave them unatended whilst out, but its strange to see the cat walk straight past them as though they are not there. I will say he pricks his ears up if they Flap their wings, this must be the only thing that he relates them to being Birds.
