Re: Moving from NSW to Tasmania with my IRN Please Help

Hi sorry it took so long to get back to you. She said you can bring them in but you need to get a permit from tas parks and wildlife. Apparently you need to do this for all birds now. I don't think it is hard to get one, they just need to know what is coming in and that it hasn't got any disease or ...

Re: Bad beak condition

I have tried but I can't post any pics. Her beak seems to have gotten a bit better. It still doesn't look very attractive but no more has peeled off. It looks like it will slowly fix itself. It all seems strong and doesn't stop her from eating or trying to escape her cage, it is more of a cosmetic t...

Re: Ringnecks with other Breeds

Hi I have a young ringneck and a budgie that are starting to get along fine. Izzy the ringneck hated my budgie Charlie when they first met and would lunge and chase him whenever he got close But we kept letting them out together for short periods of time and they have finally settled down to the poi...

Bad beak condition

Hi everyone. My 6 month old ring neck is going through her first moult and we noticed a few cracks appear on her beak. Eventually the whole right side of her beak had the top red surface peel off leaving her with a black beak underneath. Also the other side of her beak isn't bright red and smooth li...

Re: new irn question

Hi I have a 6 month old IRN that we have had for about 3 months. She started off like you said very afraid and wary. We started off by feeding her from our hands in the cage. At first she would cling to the side of the cage and not come near us but after a while curiosity got the better of her. Once...

Grey ringneck female growing green feathers

I have a grey female that is currently going through her first moult and I have noticed a lot of green feathers coming through. Is this common or normal?
