Female i'd say, unless it developes a definate coloured ring around it's neck, (ring is not same color as rest of bird) 1-3 years for maturity to set in, or 4 moultings to get it's mature feathers

Eucalyptus branches cannot be toxic to Indian ringnecks as they were exterminating IRN's in Australia for mutilating these such trees! By the way maybe its the odour from the sap in enclosed spaces. But as I said you have to dry out the branches first!!!

Warmish water in a spray bottle is the easiest way cos apparently IRN's dont like bathing to often (EEeeewww, Stinky birdies!! ) Some will bath in a bird bath with tepid water. I was reading about it the other day. the eculyptus is fine. just strip it of it's leave's and dry it out in your oven at about 70 degrees celcius. ur birdy should enjoy stripping the bark off as well.
